An title provided by audience title is the inspiration for a 50-minute comedic story with live accompaniment, dance numbers, and kitchy songs.
I have been performing with this troupe since 2010. It's all the challenge of a long-form improv show plus requiring chops to perform improvised song and dance. This is one of the four core Featured Productions of JaCKPie Theatre.

I played a sympathetic, but flawed, janitor in this high school drama. Think old crony mentor spiced with a touch of letchery. January 29th, 2011:

Presenting IMPROV! The Musical
Atlanta's only improvised musical comedy
A unique theatrical experience, IMPROV! The Musical is the latest signature production from Jackpie, Atlanta's only training school/production company for long-form improvisational comedy (a.k.a. spontaneous theatre). Improvised musicals are a popular staple of major theatre cities such as New York, Chicago and L.A., so IMPROV! The Musical serves to fill a major void on the Atlanta improv scene.
Other local companies attempt a short improvised musical sketch here and there. But IMPROV! The Musical is the city's only production in which the cast dares to improvise a 50-minute continuous narrative complete with dialogue, singing and dancing made up on the spot. Everything the 10-person cast does is inspired by a single audience suggestion, leading to hilariously irreverent shows such as "Vampirates," "Santa & His Helpers" and "Whitney & Bobby."
The production has already drawn sold-out audiences and standing ovations in its initial run, and will now play every first and third Saturday of every month at Relapse Theatre, 380 14th St. All shows start at 8PM, and tickets are $10 ($5 with student ID).
